Achieving Happiness through Communication

Communication is one of the gateways to achieving success, yet we find it difficult to communicate in either our relationships, business dealings, or in our day to day activities. Sometimes, we are eager to express our feelings regarding a particular issue, but are afraid to spill it out because we lack confidence, are insecure, prone to inferiority complex and fear to be laughed at. We pretend, wear a silent look and fervently pray in our hearts that our spouses, bosses, neighbours, and friends should understand us. And when they do not, we simply withdraw into our shell and wait for a miracle to happen - the kind of miracle that will transform them into mind-readers. Unfortunately, we forget that they are humans and not spirits. Our friends and loved ones cannot share our pains until we let them into our world by making them aware of how we feel. If you feel the love, show it, if you feel devastated, dejected and alone, say it. If you are sick and unable to concentrate on your job, say it and your loved ones, friends, and bosses will appreciate it. Do not hold back your feelings for whatsoever reason because the moment you do, the doors to your happiness are shot permanently until you learn to start evoking, expressing and speaking about your concerns. Lack of communication can lead to a breakdown in our relationship with people. This is why every individual must learn to communicate effectively in their daily affairs.
